Who We Are

We are the advocates, the source of truth, the informed industrial and legal advisors, and unwavering support. We serve to protect our frontline members who dedicate their lives to protecting our country.

Bringing together sworn and unsworn members, AFPA presents a united front to ensure the safety, advocacy and representation of its members and the entire police force is comprehensive across all jurisdictions of the Australian Federal Police.

The AFPA is overseen by the National Council, an elected Council responsible for policy making and the election of the AFPA’s nine member Executive, led by its member-elected President.

Supporting the President is a strong operations team, including the AFPA’s General Manager, lead Industrial & Legal advisors, and Welfare Support. The 15 strong AFPA team is committed to implementing the policies set by the Association’s National Council, while dedicating daily operations to ensuring the needs of members are heard and met.
